Decision to extract coal from Fulbari prioritizing rehabilitation and environment: Prime Minister in Parliament
While there is a possibility of overcoming the energy crisis through coal extraction from the Phulbari coal mine, Prime Minister Tareque Rahman stated that any decision would be made by prioritizing the rehabilitation of local people, agricultural land, and environmental concerns. He also mentioned various initiatives to increase domestic gas production, strengthen BAPEX, and enhance the use of renewable energy.
